On 26 September 2025, SHINE 2Europe represented the LIVERATION project at the European Researchers’ Night in Coimbra, under the theme “Preventing cancer: a collective challenge.”
At the stand, visitors spun a “prevention wheel” to start conversations with researchers about key cancer prevention topics such as nutrition, physical activity, genetics, and access to healthcare. Each spin opened a dialogue on how to reduce risks and adopt healthier lifestyles.
The event brought together over 600 researchers and offered 90 activities aimed at making science more accessible to citizens.
Through this participation, SHINE 2Europe and LIVERATION demonstrated that science can be participatory, educational, and inclusive for everyone.
